This is simply the best choice for disinfecting your animal cages. Once you have mixed up your solution, just spray and wipe. No need to allow the cage to “air out” or rinse like you need to with bleach. If you haven’t already noticed, bleach and urine mixed together makes a really nasty, and toxic, eye watering combination! No such problems with Chlorhexidine. Chlorhexidine Gluconate can be used on or around your animals.

Description:
Chlorhexidine is the generic version of Nolvasan. It’s an antiseptic and antimicrobial disinfectant which provides fast acting activity against a wide range of micro-organisms, especially against those commonly present on the skin such as bacteria, fungi, ringworm and yeast.

Directions:
Add 1 ounce of chlorhexidine to 24 ounces of water. One gallon bottle will make 24 gallons of disinfectant. Spray area and wipe down. No additional rinsing is needed.

Active Ingredient:
2% Chlorhexidine Gluconate

Reptile Notes:
This is an excellent disinfectant. Clean houses, tanks, tubs, tools, dishes, tables, racks systems and basically anything that can be wiped down.
